Liz Chapman

 Liz was born in Eureka and has always been a Northern California girl. Her family moved to Santa Rosa when she was just 11 years old. This is where she grew up and eventually had her own family. In 1991 they moved from Santa Rosa to Chico. This is also when she first began her career in Real Estate. At that time she was known as Liz Delimont, a sales associate for one of the larger companies in the city. It was during this time that she first met and became friends with a colleague, Geri Lee, a seasoned agent with strong ethics.

 Because of higher interest rates and a buyers market, real estate was a challenging career choice in the early '90s, but it offered a great training ground for creative financing and innovative listing and sales approaches. As with all business cycles, the pendulum has swung back and forth. Interest rates have dropped lower than they have been for years. Prices have risen and fallen, and purchasing property is once again very affordable and is still a great investment.

In 2001, Liz remarried and moved to the ridge with her new husband, Lucas Chapman. They searched until they found a 1970 custom built home overlooking the canyon in Paradise. Lucas and her daughters thought Liz was crazy, but she knew they were getting a house with "good bones". They did extensive remodeling, ridding the home of dark paneling, shag carpets, avocado green kitchen sink, outdated appliances, and worn out formica. After moving a few walls, redoing bathrooms and kitchen, new paint, floors, and appliances the remodel was complete and their diamond was no longer one in the rough. They love their new home and their life on the ridge.

Liz enjoys her children and her grandsons, and is looking forward to a new grandson this summer. She also enjoys her hobbies which include Sudoku and photography, video editing, and creating DVDs from family and travel photos and videos clips. She also has an online store, Liz's Treasures of Paradise, where she sells jewelry, furs and collectables that are both new and vintage estate finds.

Liz and Lucas have an active Border Collie mix named Patrick and two cats, Samba and Tabby, who provide loving companionship. She and Lucas enjoy playing cribbage and shuffleboard. They also enjoy their friends at both the Eagles and Moose Lodges, target shooting, and traveling. They love riding their Harley and going on various runs, such as the Terry Jones Memorial Toy Run each Christmas season.

Early in 2004 her long time friend, Geri Lee, invited Liz to work with her at Geri Lee Realty. Because she had always had the greatest respect for Geri's work ethic and her caring concern for her clients, Liz was quick to answer "YES" and pursue her real estate career in Paradise. She enjoys working on the ridge from her home office as well as with Geri in Chico.

Liz has a strong technology background, after running a computer lab for seven years at a local elementary school. Liz is able to blend her technology skills with her Real Estate knowledge which enables her to be an excellent sales agent. With the latest equipment (digital cameras, computers, cell phones, etc.), Liz has the ability to market property with state of the art fliers as well as publishing them in various Real Estate publications and on the web. She is also very adept at creating virtual tours to help market properties for her sellers. For buyers, she can take digital images of properties that may be of interest, stay in touch through email as well as phone calls, and find that perfect property.

Being a people person, Liz enjoys working with, and helping, people. She especially enjoys helping first-time buyers get through the process of purchasing their first home. She enjoys the detective work involved in finding the perfect property for her clients and has been known to go knocking on doors to find a home in a particular neighborhood when necessary. She is a good negotiator when bringing in a contract or after reports are in and there are upgrades needed, and she is diligent throughout the entire life of each contract. She is always there for her clients while all inspections are being done and will be there with her clients right on through the final signing at the title office at close of escrow.

In addition to Real Estate Principles, Liz has completed course work in Ethics, Real Estate Practice,  Finance, Appraisal, ePro, as well as attending many marketing and technical workshops.

Liz Chapman is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, and the Chico Association of Realtors. Liz is a certified Realtor for the Town of Paradise First-Time Homebuyers Program. She bears the distinction of being an e-Pro.
